Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: As low as I have seen them, including Lincoln and Franconia Brooks on way out; all easily rock hopped. USGS East Branch hydrograph around 250 CFS.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: All trails and bushwhack in great shape.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: None seen today until a black lab with a blinking light collar within a mile of parking lot on way out. :-) Plenty of water available on this route.
Bugs
Bugs: Not an issue today.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Lots of socks hanging from branches, like women's undergarments that hang from branches along certain downhill ski lifts. I rescued the nicest one; describe here, and I will leave at the Mountain Wanderer Book and Map Shop in Lincoln for you to pick up.

Comments
Comments: Perfect day for this hike; saw 50+ others, including a probable meet up group of 20+ On their way down at the foot of the OH slide. Two young women going strong for the summit near the the top of the slide on my way down, so this was the rare day that I was not last on top. Another notch in my over 60, solo, pm grid.
