Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The AMC Guide description matches my prior hike up this trail. Now there is a sign where the trail splits, indicating Bog Pond straight ahead and Georgiana Falls to the right. The trail is now pretty well painted in red blazes all the way to the upper Falls. Even so I saw a group miss the rather sharp turn up a fairly steep slope and continue on a herd path, but as soon as I pointed out a blaze a ways up it they were all set. One can choose from numerous herd paths to go further up the brook, where one can find a more modest falls before it flattens out. There's a few blowdowns, including a duckunder, a crawl over and more but nothing problematic.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Great trail for Pepper. It goes along a brook with many falls and ledge overlooks; perfect for sip n dips and brook overlooks, with lots of solitude once above the first cascades. Plus there were some impudent chippies to chase.
Bugs
Bugs: None

Comments
Comments: The hike of the day was Becca's redline finish on Coppermine. Congrats Becca! That was fun. The appropriate follow-up was for Pepper to do a few redline hikes of his own. This was one of them. The trail was much easier to follow than what I remembered, and the falls were nice despite somewhat low water flows. Pepper loved them and their open and dry ledges. The "tourist" hikers got to the first real falls and pretty much stayed there; above it we saw only one hiker, and then coming down a group of 3. No bugs. What a nice day for two pleasant brook side walks.
