My better half, Steve, helped me red line Hancock Notch today. He dropped me off at the hairpin turn, drove east to the Sawyer River Trail, and met me halfway.
East of the HOL, the trail was more rugged, rough and wet. And about 1.4 mile from the Sawyer River Trail, erosion from Hurricane Irene was impressive. |
