never walked the entire length of the Carriage Road so did this on the way up..after the shed took the Green Trail...needed microspikes about 2/3 the way up, still a continuous sheet of ice/snow...took the White Trail down with one spot sheer ice, put spikes back on for a short distance...other than that would say White Trail should be clear soon...hit the Carriage Road again and hoofed it back to vehicle...nice views but a little hazy towards the Presidentials (52 miles distant) at the time I was there... |
