 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
We were alone when we parked and one other car was there when we left. There is room for about 3 cars in the little lot and plenty of room on the road. The roads are in much better condition without snow on them! |

Several crossings are open and flowing, though none caused an issue. |

 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
A blowdown on Bunnell Notch Trail but, it can be avoided easily. Also, The trails are not well blazed and a couple we met up with mentioned how they wouldn't have been able to navigate without following our trail. Some more blazes may be helpful. |

We started on a fairly solid monorail and made great time for the first 2 miles. As it started getting warmer and more water crossings started to appear our pace slowed as it was difficult navigating without getting wet. Nothing was hard, just took concentration. When we reached Kilkenny Ridge Trail we were met with several inches of new, sticky snow. This made finding the summit marker a bit of a maze again - sorry to anyone who follows are tracks! On the way down we met two folks headed up. So no new snow should be an issue for people headed out this weekend. The route got tricky as the "mashed potato" snow made its lovely appearance. All in all though, a great day to be out with some incredibly clear views from Bunnell Rock outlook! |
