Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All snowbridges are either collapsed or unstable. In several places, the trail is a brook. Waterproof boots are a good idea, since there are lots of portions of the trail that are 1 to 4 inches of running water.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A fair number of blowdowns. All navigable, but some are a bit of a pain. Lots of branches and general debris from recent storms.

Comments
Comments: Lots of slop. Low down, it was water running over sheets of ice. Higher up, it was a mixture or firm and unpredictable monorail, frequently with running water underneath. Several places, the best path was just to ignore the trail and slog through a foot of snow in the woods 10 feet away.

Parts of the falls were still snowbridged, but unstable. Much of the outlet area at the foot of the falls is still snowbridged, but should not be trusted. The boundary between the snow-on-the-ground and snow-over-the-water is NOT obvious. The monorail from the shelter to the rocks at the foot of the falls is still obvious, don't stray away from this unless you know the area.
