Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: 9.6 miles north of Rangley we turned left onto a logging road, immediately crossing a bridge and in a short distance came to a T. Turn right here and drive through monster sized puddles, continue cross another bridge and bear left about 1.0 (do not go down SwampTrial). At 2.3 bear left again (the right is marked Middle road here). Bear Left again at 3.0 (snowmo sign reads Canyon Road), Road in places is boney but my all wheel Audi Q5 handled it well, Nearing 4.3 miles stay straight and you will find the flat parking area at a fine overlook of Saddleback and the Horn. Path continues past the parking area.

Comments
Comments: Once again driving to a six-pack trailhead is the biggest challenge of getting to a summit. Big puddles and boney steep bumpy climbs are daunting but going slow in my all wheel car proved to be no problem. The herd path is well worn all the way. We started the hike off by continuing up the now grassy logging road. The left along the boundary is super obvious, old boundary marker leaning against tree and it is the well worn path. From the swath the well worn path just continued all the way to the recognized summit.
On the return trip we enjoyed obstructed views of the surrounding mountains. That wraps up Maine and this was my NEHH 99th peak now to Abe in VT to finish. Thanks Bria for joining me.
