| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Carrabasset Pond Rd is not too bad for the first 3 miles, but after that it gets a little dicey. At the 3 mile mark is a little bridge with a little room to park on the roadside; low clearance vehicles may want to park here and walk the extra mile and a half. If not, drive real slow and careful. |

| Comments: |
This is a tale of two hikes up to So Crocker - the first mile to the campsite is relatively easy. The last mile (particularly the first half mile or so) is really steep and rugged; good workout. The hike to No Crocker is not too bad comparatively. Saw lots of thru hikers and a few day hikers on a really beautiful day. Hadn't been on a proper hike in weeks and was feeling a bit stir crazy, so it was welcome. |
