Comments
Comments: Hiked north bound on the AT from Rt. 17, to a highpoint southwest of four ponds mountain. The bushwhack to four ponds started out thick and twiggy, then transitioned to cuts and low-growth and then spruce. I did not find a pre-existing recognized highpoint. To return, I stayed further east, which proved steep and thick. I followed the AT past the powerlines and up to a point just north of the 2938 highpoint of the Sabbath Day pond peak. The highpoint is a stone's throw bushwhack and is recognized. Very nice hiking on the AT along the ponds.
