| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
We started at the hiker parking on the Mt. Battie Auto Road since we were camping in the park. You can also park outside the gate and walk up and pay a day use fee. The parking for the Mt. Battie trail is on a dead end street next to a house; trail sign is hidden behind overgrown tree branch (see Maine Mtn Guide for definitive driving directions). |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
Dogs must be leashed while in the State Park and there are plenty of signs to remind you. Sarge obliged and had a great time :) There is a bit more water on this side of the park but still not plentiful, you may want to bring extra water for pups if you plan on a longer hike. |

| Comments: |
Nice trails in this park. Mostly gradual with great footing, some fun rocky steeps thrown in for good measure. Looking forward to returning here in Fall. |
