Found this gem, in the Maine Mountain Guide. A short hike with exemplary views from the ledges. Granite bench was a bonus :) The panorama of Chocorua, Moats, Kearsarge, Presidential Range, Carter-Moriah, to Evans Notch are outstanding. We scooted up to Fryeburg, took in Jockey Cap continuing the Robert E. Peary theme. The bronze profile of the surrounding peaks is a monument to polar explorer Peary. It's well worth your time to see it :) |
