Today was the first hike of the year that I didn't have to walk in any snow at all. Yay! There were some small patches in the col between Jacksons, but none on the trail. Summit was really windy, views were fantastic -a hot, summer-like day. Took a dip in the tarn - cold but refreshing; would have been better without the wind. Thought with it being Monday I might sneak in one more hike at Tumbledown without much of a crowd, but there were five cars in the lot when I got there, so no. Still a really nice hike, and a pleasant day. |
