Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Easy rock hops. One bog in the col between the 2 peaks requires some creativity and a good flying leap to clear the muck.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Still several large blowdowns. Most can be navigated around without any issues. There is one just beyond the turn off to the Baldpate Shelter that really blocks the trail and there is no real way around it. I went over it and it attacked me.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Sadly, no dogs today.
Bugs
Bugs: Shhhhhhhh - I didn't see any. Don't tell.

Comments
Comments: It was a perfect day. The trail is pretty much free of ice and snow. There were a few patches here and there and there were 2 snowy areas on the back side of the West peak and in the col, but they can be avoided or walked on. There are some very muddy areas, but I welcomed that as compared to rotten snow. Didn't see a single person today. Views were spectacular.
