Stable monorail for the first 1.5 miles. It was below freezing. Above freezing temperatures would likely soften it quickly. Someone bare booted up the first mile and left occasional postholes. Last half mile we broke trail in crusty snow. Snow is thin in a few spots in the first half mile. After that plenty of snow. Kept snowshoes on the whole way. Probably would have been fine with light traction for the first 1.5 miles. |
