| Comments: |
We arrived at approximately 9am and were the first to break trial after the previous day's storm. There were 2 of us breaking trail and a 3rd person caught up to us near the top. We stopped and reversed direction at Ocean Lookout. We passed another 5 people on our way down and we saw the tracks of 2 others who turned off on the trail to Adam's Lookout. We reached the parking lot again at about 12:30 so there could have been even more people to pack the trail down after that. The last 1/4 mile, where there are some steep rocky parts, had a lot of ice under the snow which made for some slipping, so we went back and forth across these areas rather than straight up, sometimes using trees for stability. |
