Comments
Comments: - A very ‘birdy’ Day: a large flock of Pine Siskins, a cooperative Spruce Grouse, two Black-backed Woodpeckers, several crossbill flocks, and large numbers of friendly Boreal Chickadees
- Fierce winds on the exposed ridge, despite calm below, as they accelerated up the south-facing slope
- Despite the overcast, excellent visibility from Katahdin to Washington
- Several lengthy stretches of wall-to-wall ice on the steep upper section of the Fire Warden’s
