Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: I parked on the side of rt. 16, right at the start of the trail. It is not marked, but is about a mile east of the dam and the footbed leaves right from the roadside. (The tower man's trail is abandoned but started at the green gate, just east of the dam).

Comments
Comments: This was my second attempt to follow the abandoned tower man's trail. The first time, I could not find where it transitioned from roads to path at the bottom, so I tried from the top. The upper junction is still marked with a sign from the main trail. I descended about a mile on a tight corridor with blowdowns. As soon as I hit logged sections, I could not find the trail. I bushwhacked in regrowth that was unfortunate to walk in. After approximating the route through the sections where the trail seems to be absent, I hit the road portion of the route and walked that section back to 16.
