Very persistent and time consuming efforts did not get us up to Bowmantown, ME, due to closed gates and road quality. We felt like we exhausted all options shown on the ME gazetteer/ aerial photos. Routes from Canada may work for the swath, but not for a couple peaks we wanted well within the US. A long route from eastern Pittsburg NH may be the best bet. |
