| Comments: |
The route of the day was mostly dry, with some minor areas of mud and standing water on the Spruce Hill Trail between route 113 and the wilderness boundary. Past the boundary, both trails were pretty much dry the whole way. There were two small pieces of snow, as well as a small snowman, on the sides of the Bickford Brook Trail just before the junction with the Blueberry Ledge Trail, but otherwise snow free.
Cool temps and clear skies made for a great first hike in the Maine portion of the WMNF! Also really quiet compared to most of the rest of the Whites. Glad I made the turn onto ME 113! |
