Appalachain Trail from Caribou Valley/Pond Road
Snowshoes required, unless postholing through knee-waist deep snow is your thing. From trailhead at 2000' to 3000' of elevation, 1-3 feet of unstable snow with numerous pockets that we fell through. From 3000' to summit, 4-5 feet of snow was the norm. |
