Comments
Comments: all trails were dry and well marked. some nice ledge scrambling below the summit of burnt meadow north and numerous viewpoints just off of the trail as well as from the summit. good views to the whites on the descent to the stone/north burnt meadow col. the trail to stone mountain has great footing and goes through some nice varied forest. lots of ripening blueberries on both peaks. a short marked spur from the top of stone leads to a nice ledge view.

i have meant to hike these peaks for years since recommended by a friend and today looked like a good day for it. its the kind of hike that hikes a lot bigger than the peak elevations would lead you to believe. nice rugged trail and many fine views to the surrounding mountains in both maine and nh and over to the whites.
