Surface Conditions: Dry Trail
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: One small one on the Cameron Mtn Trail, very easy. This was the only water source I came across on the trail.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails in excellent condition. Maiden Cliff, Scenic Trail and Sky Blue trail were typical hiking trails, the others old roads/snowmobile trail. The staff at Camden Hills State Park do a great job maintaining the trails.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: This would be a fine hike for a dog but there are not any water sources or all of them are dry. Bring 3 to 4 liters of water for this loop.
Bugs
Bugs: None. Ocean breeze kept them away.

Comments
Comments: Hiked a loop that tracked over the Maiden Cliffs to the summits of Cameron and Bald Rock mountains. A challenging hike, about 11.2 miles in total. This hike is a hilly one with fun descents, tiring ascents after a long day. Beautiful views of Megunticook Lake from Maiden Cliffs, the Moody Mountain peaks from Cameron, Penobscot Bay from Bald Rock Mtn. The scenery is incredible.
