Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All bridged or rock hoppable.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Only major issue was some serious beaver dam flooding on North Basin Cutoff, which called for some creative bushwhacking to get around.

Dog-Related Notes: No dogs or pets in Baxter State Park. Period.
Bugs
Bugs: Overall not bad, but they started to come out on the last mile or so back to the trailhead.

Comments
Comments: Complete contrast to my aborted attempt of North Brother the day before. Dry trails, simple brook crossings, killer views, rugged terrain, bears, and much more! Once past Chimney Pond, I only saw one other person on the hike from there to Hamlin Peak and back to Chimney Pond Trail. Despite not tagging Baxter Peak, I had a hella fun time! #66 on the NE67 is in the books! Gonna come back later this summer to re-climb North Brother for my finish, hopefully with a group.
