Date of Hike
Date of Hike: Monday, May 30, 2016
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: The easiest way to access the trailhead parking is via Denmark road off 302. The trailhead is about .5 to 1.5 miles from the West Denmark/Denmark Rd intersection. Do not turn onto West Denmark. See http://www.loonecholandtrust.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/Pleasant_Mountain_Brochure_Map.pdf for more info.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: None. There is not any water on this trail at all so bring what you will need for your hike.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail still in excellent condition. New yellow metal diamonds have replaced a lot of the yellow blazes, also the trail seems easier to follow than in previous years. I think there has been quite a bit of trail maintenance within the last year or so. Great condition, no problems at all.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Should be fine for dogs though there is not any water on this trail. Bring some for your dog.
Bugs
Bugs: They are out but not biting. Some hikers I met on the trail told me to watch out for ticks, they rested near a grassy area at the summit and had up to 10 on their legs after a few minutes. That time of year.

Comments: Overcast turned out to be blue skies and warm. I love hiking this trail, excellent views of the lakes region and the white mountains. Very tranquil and enjoyable hike. A very pleasant hike on pleasant mountain! :)
