Comments
Comments: My annual work trip to the A.T. in B.S.P. with a good group of 6 M.A.T.C. volunteers. We cleared blowdowns, clipped brush and branches and cleaned waterbars on the trail for the upcoming hiking season. The weather was great, sun and clouds and temps from 50 to 70. It rained friday night but cleared off nicely saturday morning. Saw a blue heron on Grassy Pond, a deer near the Highwater Trail and 5 ducks on the West Branch of the Penobscot River. The trails are still closed to Katahdin as there is a lot of ice still on the trails near treeline.
