| Dog-Related Notes: |
An easy one for the canines, technically dogs are supposed to be leashed but this time of year no big crowds so many were running free and all were well behaved. |
|
| Bugs: |
None - if they were around the winds would have kept them at bay |

The perfect time of year to visit Acadia - took a nice 7 mile hike without a sign of snow or ice. A few spots of mud and pools of water but nothing you can't hop across on rocks or just walk through. Amazing views with sunny skies and miles above the trees. Met many other out enjoying the trails but had the summit to myself for 30 minutes; nice to be up there without the summer crowds. Temps were perfect for hiking though the winds were blowing at a constant 20-30 mph with stronger gusts so a coat and long pants were needed. Would recommend a trip to Acadia in the next weeks - trails are all dry and the crowds haven't yet arrived! |
