Comments
Comments: I'd only seen mention of this ridge in the Maine Mountain Guide, and didn't realize I was looking directly at it from Streaked. Anyway, following the directions in the guide got me there, and while not marked, it was easy enough to navigate. Passed several old vehicles near a fairly recent looking metal building (a few VW Bus's, Beetle's, and even a Thing... all rusted out), then climbed up to the quarry and ledges. Views were most excellent, I can imagine what they would be like on a great view day (which this was not). Followed a different trail from near the ledges, to what appeared to be the highpoint, and views through the trees over the Streaked. A nice end to a nice day checking out the western Maine foothills.
