Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All easy rock hops on these trails. I did not cross Moriah Brook on either the Highwater Trail or the Moriah Brook Trail as this was my turn around spot.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The Highwater Trail had some much needed trail work this summer with many blowdowns cleared as well as brush and branches clipped and a couple of relocations of the footpath where it had been washed away near the Wild River back in August 2011. The trail is much better now, thanks to the trail crew.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw 2 dogs today.
Bugs
Bugs: One mosquito which did not survive coming near me.

Comments
Comments: Parked in Maine and hiked to New Hampshire. A few showers on the ride this morning, then clouds and clearing with nice sunshine to enjoy the foliage. Some red and yellow leaves on the ground. Temps from 30 to 50 and a light breeze at times. The Moriah Brook Trail Bridge over the Wild River is closed. Much of these trails I hiked today are not in the Wild River Wilderness but once you cross the bridge over the Wild River at Hastings it does feel like a wilderness. Another great day to be out on the trails.
