| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
We did not park at the trail head. We were staying at the Hastings Campground, which was a short roadwalk between the two ends. You may have to keep an eye out while you are driving, you could just drive right past the trail head signs. |

A few easy ones near the south end of the trail. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Good! Except when you cross the mucky brushy section near the south end you may have a problem for a moment or two seeing the trail. Nice to have a sign directing you to the scenic overlook. |

| Comments: |
This is a pleasant short hike to an area with great views. It is a nice one to do from the Hastings Campground and the northern end is near a good swimming hole in the Wild river by the bridge near the beginning of the Highwater trail. We hiked up to watch the sunset and then came down the southern section. We had a few minutes of difficulty picking up the trail through the marshy part, but that may have been due to the narrow illumniation provided by head lamps. |
