Tumbledown-West, Tumbledown-Northeast, Litttle Jackson, Jackson, Jackson Mtn.-North Peak
I started up the loop trail which is quite steep at the top. From the west peak of tumble down there is a carain marked trail that goes over the north east peak (highpoint) and down to a forkāone way leads to the pond and the other up little Jackson. From the Jackson/L. Jackson col a trail summits Jackson, which is home to some equipment and a landing pad. From there, I bushwhacked through mixed and sometimes thick woods to the North peak. I did not note any marking on the highpoint. On the return I slabbed and headed towards the col. I took the brook trail down, which is quite heavily used.
I met a group of three who were very disappointed in the condition of the Tumbledown Pond area. One man described lots of trash including large pieces of discarded camping equipment being left behind. Unauthorized cutting was also apparent around the pond. The men were disappointed as they had been visiting the area for a long time. Over-use is apparent around the pond. Yesterday, it was quite crowded.
