Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: The parking for the North Ridge Trail is in a pull-off on the left side of the Acadia Nat'l Park loop road. Room for several cars. Pay attention carefully- the trailhead can be easy to miss, and if you drive by it, you'll have to go ALL the way around, since this part of the Loop Rd. is a one-way street.

Comments
Comments: Day 1 of my trip to Acadia National Park brought me to Champlain Mtn (1,058') via the North Ridge Trail. I had never been to ANP before, and I was pleasantly surprised by all three hikes I did! This hike had good views of Cadillac Mtn and Frenchman Bay for most of the way, moderate grades, a lot of open ledge, and some neat pitch pine woods. Summit was open and rocky with almost 360 degree views.
