| Comments: |
The trail was easy to follow all the way to the summit. It starts off gradual and then gets a bit steeper with more rocks and roots. My wife carried our 14 month old daughter in a pack while I carried all the gear. Only a couple places were you need to watch for branches with the child, but the trail wasn't bad for my wife even carrying our daughter. This would be a great family hike or for novice hikers. The tower at the top provides great 360 degree views of the area. Some picnic tables at the summit too. The trail was pretty wet today after yesterday's rain. A sign at the trail head also warned it can be slippery when wet. Bring good footwear and you should be all set. We met a few people that were going slow because their sneakers were getting wet and weren't providing good traction. |
