| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
I noticed that many trails (Spec Pond, Goose Eye, Notch) are hard to pick out when headed south on Success Pond RD.
Road was passable. However I hit something that did major damage to a tire on my Elantra. |

| Comments: |
I started by 'redlinning' the Notch trail to the Mahoosuc trail junction. I then launched a bushwhack on Mahoosuc Mtn from near the junction. The woods were not too bad headed all the way up to the summit area. There is a sub-peak to the south that had me looking for the recognized high-point. The ridge between the false peak and high point was a little thick. The high point is to the north and is an incredible spot. 360 views to the Carters, Presidentials, Pilot/Pliny ranges, Kelsey/Dixvill Area, Sunday River, Elephant, and much more. Among my favorites now. |
