Huge numbers of blowdowns on the upper portion of the trail. Lots of maintenance needed. |

My dog had a great day, but he too did a lot of post holing. He did not mind. |

I lost a dogtra dog transmitter at the trail head. |

| Comments: |
Wonderful hike, I think we were the first to go up for awhile. Countless blowdowns in the upper elevations, and and more wet snow that we were expecting. We did a lot of scrambling and postholing. Snowshoes may have helped if they were somehow ones that could be taken on and off frequently. It also snowed lightly and hailed a little much of the day, making it cold but beautiful. |
