Lots of small blowdowns, blazes are hidden under snow or obscure. Due to depth of snow many tree branches over trail. |

No dogs should be on this trail...snow very deep with spruce traps. |

We started breaking out the trail on Monday, 2/23. With 6 of us, Beth, Steve, Dick, Dave and Ken. We made it to about the 4 mile mark and had to turn back at about 1:30 due to weariness of group and time factor. On Wed. we returned to the trail with 4 of the original group and continued to the summit breaking trail in 4-5 feet of fresh powder. Total time from trail head to summit 8 hours; back to the car at in 3.5 hours. We had to push through heavy snow on trees the last mile which made the hike very challenging indeed. Trail now well broken out to summit |
