| Comments: |
Snowshoed into Daicey Pond with sleds via Foss Knowlton, overnight at Daicey cabin. Skied Daicey access road and park tote road to Marston trailhead and changed into snowshoes. We made good time for the first 3 miles of Marston Tr but trail conditions deteriorated, snow depths enormous, and it became evident that no one had been beyond that point for a long time. Lots of branches to push through as we were so high in the canopy, plus blowdowns to step over and duck under made for slow going, but we managed to summit N Brother. Storm blowing in and winds intensifying, so Fort would have to wait for another day. |
