The road to trailhead is only plowed up to the town owned snow plow turnaround. We parked along side the road just before the plowing ended. This adds a very short road walk to the trailhead. |

Bald Mtn in Peru
It appeared that we were the first group to do this hike all winter! We broke trail to summit of Bald. Deep snow. Some steep sections, did a little bit of sliding backwards. A beautiful half day hike, lots of sunshine today, little wind. Had a lot of fun, easy, rewarding with views of the Presidentials! After descent we walked across Little Concord Pond for a bit. Bald is 1692', I'm guessing about 3 miles RT. |
