Comments
Comments: Went up Grey Ghost and Tri-Color ski trails - super cold temps, but virtually no wind on the ski trails made the climb much more comfortable than we expected. Plenty of wind on the summits and ridge though - goggles and face mask were necessary for the out n back. Above treeline, it was very icy mixed with hard crusty wind-scorn snow. Also lots of drifts and deep unpacked powder in the trees between the 2 summits. Visibility was great so we were able to spot quite a few cairns and pick a nice route through the open areas - we did go off trail a bit to avoid the worst of the icy ledges. Our mountaineering snowshoes were just barely sufficient. If yours are worn - bring crampons.

Incredible views on this super-chilly day. Would not have wanted to be exposed much longer... :)
