| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Should have parked at the end of the road where the sign for Cold Brook Trail is... but we drove as far as we could before starting up... looks like a road walk is in my future. Parking for a few vehicles at the southern Miles Notch trailhead |

| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Ice - Black, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Mud - Significant, Leaves - Significant/Slippery |

| Water Crossing Notes: |
The only crossing I could recall, on lower Miles Notch Trail, was rock hoppable. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Cold Brook was in decent shape once out of the logged area down low. Red Rock was in substantially better shape than it was in May, some flagging marks the most obscure areas. Miles Notch had the most blow downs of the lot, many stepovers and duckunders. |

A great day to do this loop! After finally getting through the logged bits of Cold Brook, the trail was very nice, especially the many ledges as you near Speckled. Red Rock is one of the best low elevation ridge trails in the Whites, bar none. Miles Notch was scenic, though lots of down leaves slowed our progress. The climb up over the ridge near the end of Miles Notch was a non-starter, not alright at the end of the day. A good time in the Caribou-Speckled Mountain Wilderness with Ashley, Mike, and Brett! |
