| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Finding your way to the "trailhead" is aways a challenge. Took the Morton Cutoff on ME16 which is much less overall driving time than coming in via Tim Pond Rd north of Eustis as I'd done several years ago. Posted a GPS track of both drive & hike on Wikiloc under KevinR. |

| Surface Conditions: |
Snow - Unpacked Powder |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |
Traction |
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
The logging road between the trailhead and the logging yard where the hike began was boggy and wet. Sometimes frozen, sometimes not. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
The first mile or so we were on skidder paths. The last .8 we just went uphill. Didn't see any herd paths, but apparently they are visible in warm months. Started with about 3" of snow on ground, about 6" on top. It is, after all, Mt. Snow... |

| Bugs: |
No black flies, but ... if it warms up? It is Maine, afterall. |

| Comments: |
Took about an hour to navigate the roads between ME16 and where we parked.
My friend and I are doing another round of the NE4K's and NEHH. Have completed the VT & NH peaks on those lists, and now working on our Maine peaks. Cupsuptic Snow made 5 for me, my friend has a few more. |
