| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Parking at the north Trailhead would have eliminated the 1.8 mile (roundtrip) jog between the Albany Mtn. and Albany Pond Trailheads, but the south Trailhead, on Birch Ave. near the south end of Lake Keywaydin, was much closer for me, driving from the SE. The Guide says there is no parking at the Trailhead, by a white garage at the end of the paved road, but now there is - a dirt lot on the right that could accomodate 10 or so vehicles. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
The longer south section of Albany Mtn. Trail includes over a mile of an old logging road, just before the Trail starts to climb more steeply, that is a waterlogged mess. It needs bog bridges but probably won't get them. Wear waterproof boots and be prepared to hop. There are a trio of big blowdowns at about 1,350 feet that can be gotten around easily but obscure the Trail somewhat. The north section is fine, with many signs of recent maintenance. |

| Comments: |
A long mixed bag of a two-way traverse. Mostly excellent, but once would have been plenty for the waterlogged section of the south portion. |
