| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Parked on Caribou Valley Rd. The gravel surface is in good shape, but many of the culverts and bridges have significant erosion damage. Made it fine in an Accord, but I would bring a shovel next time, just in case. |

| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |

|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
Crossing of the South Branch Carrabassett River is accomplished on a 2 x 10. It is a little springy, but strong enough. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Blow downs all cleared, well blazed, a few eroded section climbing Sugarloaf steeply. Looks like one set of steps has slipped out of place. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
A few very steep scrambles. Experienced dogs only, if then. |
|
| Bugs: |
none today |

| Comments: |
Camped at Crocker Cirque campsite the night before and after. Rained just as we made the tent on the night before, dry the second night. Beautiful time in the Maine mountains. |
