trail and perimeter road to Abol Trail are extremely icy. We skied but microspikes would work. Trail to slide is packed and you could possibly bear boot or use microspikes. Crampons best bet once you reach the slide and ice ax useful for fall. Slide didn't have too much packed but it was firm enough for crampons. Tableland was rock hard ice most of the way and crampons are safest bet. We did this as a day trip. |
