Comments
Comments: No evidence of recent travel on the Sugarloaf Side Tr and the AT.
The "entrance" to the Sugarloaf Side Tr. was not easy to pick out but I found it eventually. Do not follow any of the ski-trails.
2 ft. of snow along the trails - sometimes more. Some sections are wind-consolidated and I would only sink in 4-6" but other sections were more like 12-18".
Plenty of spruce traps although nothing worse than about 3'.
Plenty of face-slappers - but generally not too bad.
I lost the trail (AT) a few times but only for a few seconds. It is very well blazed.
