From Rt. 26, follow a good logging road- becomes a groomed snowmobile trail after 100 yds., for a mile until opposite a meadow with a good view east. Head west into the woods just right of a dirt pit and follow fairly open logging trails towards Miles Notch. Bear left as it flattens out and look for blue blazes of the Grafton Loop Tr. Follow the unpacked trail to open slabs and the top. Probably 6-7 miles RT. A fun winter adventure. Maine Gazateer shows the initial logging road and the basic route. |
