Overall a great day for hiking. Even though the temps never got above 0, it was comfortable for most of the trip with the exception of the open summit. Required full face protection. Strong winds on top didn't allow us to stay and enjoy the views long. The recent snow was between 4-8" of light powder along the trail with some deeper drifts up high. We wore snow shoes the entire way. There was moderate ice on the final climb to the summit, but managed to work around most of it. |
