Comments
Comments: My car is serviced at a place on Pleasant St. (Rte. 60) in Belmont, a dreary (to the non-employee) strip of automotive and construction outfits. To avoid the waiting room and despite the heat, I trotted west a few hundred yards and noticed a trailhead across Route 60. 75 minutes and 3.5 miles later, my car was ready and I had explored the delights of Belmont's Lone Tree Hill Conservation Land, which forms a sort of half-moon buffer around McLean Hospital, from S (where I started) to E to N (where I turned around). The Great Meadow at the summit of the Hill is gorgeous.
