Comments
Comments: My intent was to go from Lake Buel Rd to Mt Wilcox North Shelter for 6ish miles on the AT. Trail is really nice prior to the crossing at MA23/Beartown. Heading up from there a couple of tenth of a mile in is a pair of old trekking poles, 50 feet up from there is a large ground wasp nest in the trail. Enter a bushwhack here and go around it. Isis and I were not so lucky. I was stung 4 times and Isis was stung once. We took the bushwhack around as I needed to get off trail at this point. My hope is to go up trail and then head south to cover the miles I missed.
